Hood Board of Trustees member Margery Elfin, Ph.D., recently published “A Nation on Trial: France and the Legacy of the Dreyfus Affair.” The book is a historical analysis of the role of the media in the Dreyfus Affair, which was a series of court cases bridging the 19th and 20th centuries that unmasked the problems in France with anti-Semitism and resistance to pluralism in that time, problems that continue today.
