Why should you give to the Hood Fund?
1.) Foundations consider alumni participation rates when awarding grants. 2.) Giving supports academic scholarships benefiting nearly every Hood student.
3.) Most Hood graduates received financial assistance, and it’s time to pay it forward.
4.) It is 100 percent tax deductible.
Who benefits from my Hood Fund gift?
Nearly every single Hood community member on campus benefits—more than 1,200 undergraduate students, nearly 1,000 graduate students and more than 250 faculty members.
How much money should I give to the Hood Fund?
Every gift counts! In fiscal year 2016, 2,736 donors supported the Hood Fund. Thirty-six percent of Hood Fund donors gave less than $100, totaling $35,445—nearly the cost of one year’s worth of tuition at Hood.
What does my Hood Fund gift support?
It costs more than $115,000 to operate the College daily. Tuition alone supports only half of the cost of a Hood education; the Hood Fund helps bridge the gap. Your gift to the Hood Fund supports faculty and student research, student scholarships and financial aid, campus life and the residential experience, extra-curricular activities and many other areas that enhance Hood’s mission.
