Courthouse deputy corporal, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office; owner and member N8W2, LLC and InsuraTek, LLC; and current member of the Hood Alumni Executive Board
Responsibilities:
Court security team supervisor for the Frederick County Courthouse. Responsible for supervising a security team providing protection to the circuit and district courts and the movement, supervision, security and control over prisoners in custody. In my spare time, I operate two small businesses focusing on software development and e-commerce.

What made you decide to attend Hood?
I am a legacy student, and Hood was a part of my childhood from attending with my father, to summer camps in the 90s repelling down the wall of Gambrill Gym and getting SCUBA certified in the pool. I have close ties to Frederick, and I felt Hood provided many opportunities for my college education.
How did your experience at Hood influence or shape your career today?
Hood provided me with a confidence in myself and opened my eyes to the endless opportunities I have to make a difference in my community.

What did you do in the year immediately after graduating?
I managed a veterinary clinic and assisted in the build out of a new location.
Stranded on an island, what three things are you sure to have with you?
Knife, metal detector and Hood ring (I always wear this when I travel).
Advice to current Hood students?
You may have gone into things with one path in mind, but it’s okay to make a change. Try a class that isn’t part of your plan but that calls to you. Learn not just about your studies but about yourself. Build your relationships because these will be the ones that last a lifetime. Hood is a lot bigger than it seems right now; the community and family is global.
