How did your experience at Hood influence or shape your career today?

The liberal arts environment taught me two very important things: how to write and how to find solutions. Every day I am tasked with creating engaging stories for my clients that advance their business objectives and to find solutions to issues they face.

Fondest Hood memory?
My fondest Hood memory is the Baccalaureate Ceremony. It was the last quiet moment of my undergraduate career that allowed me to sit and reflect on the four most transformational years of my life.

Providential

What did you do in the year immediately after graduating?
I began as a graduate intern at Weber Shandwick in June 2011. In January of 2012 I was hired full-time as an Assistant Account Executive. I’ve been at Weber Shandwick ever since.

Most successful moment?
My most successful moment in my career (thus far) is garnering media coverage for some of my clients in top-tier national news like Forbes, Travel and Leisure and USA Today.

Stranded on an island, what three things are you sure to have with you?
iPhone (music and books), sunscreen, an endless supply of gummy bears

Advice to current students?
Stretch yourself. That might mean taking a class outside your major, joining a club you’d never be a part of or attending cultural activities that broaden your world views.
