Hood College’s Center for Coastal and Watershed Studies (CCWS) and the Friends of Baker Park are excited to announce the NEW 2017 Green Neighbor Festival, scheduled for May 20 and 21! Formerly the Green Neighbor Forum, the two-day festival will be promoting environmental sustainability and “green” practices to protect land, water and energy resources. Held in conjunction with Celebrate Frederick’s Behind the Garden Gates Tour, the festival will be located around Baker Park’s Culler Lake and will feature an educational walking tour of the newly restored lake structures, eco-friendly vendors, family-friendly activities, a tree tour, a fish release and more!
