Well, I’m just wrapping up my second week in my new role as Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement, and while I’m trying to absorb all the amazing changes that have taken place since I graduated 32 (!!) years ago, in so many ways it feels like I never left! Pardon me while I get a little sentimental, but I love Hood, and I’d forgotten how much until I came Home.
I know the holidays are a hectic time for many, but I hope that you’ll take time to remember to make your end-of-the-year donation to The Annual Fund. When you make a gift, no matter how big or small, know that your generosity directly impacts every member of Hood’s community through scholarship assistance, academic support, research opportunities, extra-curricular programming and so much more.
Additionally, if you make your gift by Dec. 31st 2018, you will be able to take advantage of any applicable tax benefits. For more information, please feel free to contact Director of Annual Giving, Brooke Winn MBA ’18 at winn@hood.edu. Thank you in advance for your contribution to Hood’s continued success!
If you’d like to donate your Time and Talent, the Admissions Office is always seeking interested alums to assist at 2019 enrollment events. What better way to encourage future students to apply than by telling them YOUR Hood story! Please contact Elizabeth Gomer ’02 at gomer@hood.edu for more information.
Lastly, thank you to all who have reached out and welcomed me with your Hood Hello! I love hearing from everyone, and am especially gratified by all the support and great ideas that have made their way to my inbox!
Have a safe and happy holiday season, and I’ll see you in 2019!
