Join the Hood Community for Commencement – May 20

Commencement will be held on the residential quadrangle Saturday, May 20 at 10 a.m.  This year’s undergraduate speaker is former policy director to First Lady Michelle Obama, Krishanti Vignarajah. At the White House, Vignarajah led the Let Girls Learn initiative, which brings together a number of government agencies to address the range of challenges preventing adolescent girls from attaining a quality education. She currently serves as founder and CEO of Generation Impact, a company that helps nonprofits and advocacy organizations achieve sustainable impact.

The graduate commencement will be held on May 20 at 3 p.m. on the residential quadrangle. Cherian Thomas, MBA ’12, chairman and CEO of Spotluck, Inc., will be this year’s graduate commencement speaker. Thomas took Spotluck from a Georgetown University master’s deliverable to a monetized business currently ranked as the No. 1 dining app on the iTunes App Store. The Spotluck mobile platform provides real-time incentives to the best local restaurants in the community.
